I generally don’t have much free time, but lately I’ve had the luxury of reading a few books. It is amazing how great and relaxing it is to read a good book. I find it more relaxing than watching a movie (weird). Some of the things I like to read are mysteries in general, there is something about trying to figure out who murdered that awful rich guy that I really like.  I also like self help books; personal, business, health, love, parenting (I’m not even a parent), you name the category I’ll read it. Self help books have something that’s comforting, like, “you’re not totally screwed up, and even if you are there’s a simple 7 step way out”. Last but not least, I love reading biographies, specially about great women. So here is a short sneak peak at some books I’ve read lately.

Screenshot 2015-09-02 16.33.41-Daisy Mc Dare and the Deadly Art Affair by Kim Morgan- Mind you, this is really light reading and its not brilliant writing, however it is enjoyable and free on kindle. So, Daisy is an interior designer, who gets hired by her old friend to design a room. Her old friend, has married a super rich artist, who is really moody. His kids don’t have a relationship with him and they use him as an ATM machine. His marriage is crumbling, he has a crazy ex wife and a bunch of other people that hate him. Anyway, he gets murdered and now Daisy decided to figure out who killed him because things seem to point at her friend, whom Daisy is sure didn’t do it. This is the type of book to read while having a croissant and a nice late on a lazy afternoon

-Silent Run by Barbara Freethy- This book is another mystery but it has much more developed story line and characters. Sarah woke up in the hospital with amnesia after a car crash. A detective tells her that there was a baby seat in the back of her car, so she very likely has a child but she can’t remember him/her, and the baby is missing. SScreenshot 2015-09-02 16.35.53he has no documentation and the car seems to have been stolen. Also, it looks like someone was chasing her before she crashed. She is so confused and worried about her child, even though she can’t remember him/her. Then a man comes in yelling at her. He says she ran away seven months ago taking with her their child, Caitlyn, and she took everything just leaving a note that said, “this isn’t working out.” Jake is the guy’s name, he said he’s been looking for her and it seems like she has had multiple identities before she met him. Would she really leave the father of her child like that? Why did she run away? Where is her baby? Was Jake abusive? Why would she have multiple identities?  Pretty cool book and its $4.99 on amazon kindle

I’ve actually read it a couple of times before and I just keep going back to it. It goes through the story of the apostle Peter as he walked on water towards Jesus. The message is simply that in order to achieve amazing things you have to take action, but the way it is explained is truly amazing and full of insight.

The last book I read was

Screenshot 2015-09-08 11.38.52-The Diana Cronicles by Tina Brown- This is a book about Princess Diana’s life. It was very interesting to read. I could barely put it down. It has stuff about her childhood, her private life with Prince Charles, her struggle with bulimia among many other things. The way the book is told flows very well. I got a bit obsessed with Princess Diana after reading this book.

Thats it, please let me know of any books you recommend, no matter the genre because I just really like reading. Thank you!
